Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI instances. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to all South Carolina media. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston as a reporter and anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. In addition to her current role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and in addition contributes to Dateline NBC. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys. She hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
